A&E Gives Series Pickup to 'Longmire' Western

The project, set to premiere sometime next year, stars Katee Sackhoff(Battlestar Galactica), whowill play a deputy oppositeRobert Taylor's mid-western sheriff.Also attached areLou Diamond Phillips(Stargate Universe),BaileyChase(Saving Grace) andCassidy Freeman(Smallville). The series, which hails from the Shephard/Robin Co. and Warner Horizon Television, will bedirected byGreg Yaitanes(House) and written by Hunt Baldwin, John CovenyandCraig Allen Johnson.
